Which Büro location do you work out of?
Coconut Grove
What does your company do and what is your role?
I created Pom Vida to simplify the process of switching over to clean skincare and beauty products. We trialed thousands of products from over 300 clean skincare and beauty brands for 11 months and launched the site with only the BEST products from those trials. Our selection is tightly edited and truly curated so I feel very confident that our customers will love anything they choose. Plus, we do the research to ensure there are no harmful ingredients in anything we sell. Peace of mind (pom) for real-life (vida).
What do you like best about your job?
I love hearing from customers who LOVE their new products! The best part is that I can often tell they're shocked at how well the products work since we have been conditioned to think skincare needs harmful chemicals to truly be effective.
What is your business motto/philosophy?
Real-life peace of mind. We are the choice for people who want to find safer products for their skin and the skin of those they love but don't have the time, resources or bandwidth to navigate this new market themselves.

What are your favorite Miami/Hollywood hangouts and activities?
I love jogging down by the Marina in Coconut Grove; we live near Monroe Park so my three boys are often playing there. Our favorite family special occasion restaurants are Chotto Matte and Sapore di Mare. Our favorite date night restaurant is Alma or sneaking in a Happy Hour Frosé at Glass & Vine. We also love walking around Wynwood while sneaking in treats from Salty Donut or getting a Friday night relaxed meal at Harry's. My favorite Sunday activity is going to Lighthouse Beach on Key Biscayne. Oh! We also love getting Cubanos from El Palacio de Los Jugos, and fruits, veggies, and legit Mexican food at Redlands Market (clearly we love food).
What's one (surprising, interesting, funny, awesome) thing you'd like for Büro members to know about you?
I was born in the White Mountains in Maine and have seemingly moved my way down the coast, living in Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, D.C., and now Miami. Maybe it's time to go International next!
What do you like best about working at Büro?
I love having the opportunity to meet so many people from a wide variety of businesses. Starting a business solo could easily get lonely at times, but that is pretty much impossible at a shared space like Büro. There is so much opportunity for connection and collaboration!
What crazy adventure would you want to take?
I would love to visit Antarctica.
What are your secret survival strategies?
I try to remind myself that moving forward is more important than being perfect. Also, reminding myself to be grateful and remember that I'm so fortunate to be running my own business, rather than seeing it solely as stressful or challenging. Also...chocolate.
What's your comfort food?
I don't have strong ties to food from my childhood, so these may be unusual as 'comfort food', but: Thai Green Curry, Caribbean Roti, or truffle pasta are comforting to me. Also...chocolate.
What movies do you watch, or reference, over and over?
Honestly, for the past 12 years with 3 kids, children's or superhero movies, mostly. I tend to fall asleep if I try to fit in a whole movie. I prefer TV series like Handmaid's Tale, Fleabag, GOT, Succession and Insecure.
