Which Büro location do you work from?
What does your company do, and what is your role?
We live at the intersection of music, technology and brand marketing. Essentially what we do is help brands partner with musicians for their campaigns and events. I also write a weekly influential music industry newsletter that is always highlighting the Miami Music Scene called Beats + Bytes. Sign up here: http://nueagency.com/beatsbytes/
What do you like best about your job?
Working with musicians is one of the most exciting jobs in the world. All day long I think about music, listen to music and come up with innovative ways to plug brands with musicians. Musicians are true artists, creators and the ultimate influencers. Being a consultant that works with brands and musicians grants me a seat at a lot of interesting tables.
What is your business motto/philosophy?
Music is the universal language, a great connector and the lowest barrier to entry when it comes to shifting culture.
South Florida native since:
Hometown (if not South Florida)?
Brooklyn (Midtown reminds me of Brooklyn a bit!)
What are your favorite local hangouts and activities?
Love Midtown. It's a unique part of Miami, a city on the rise and always evolving so fast. The proximity to Design District and Wynwood are both big pluses. But mostly, I love all of the work out gyms on the block. It's a wonderful place to work and be healthy during the week.
What's one (surprising, interesting, funny, awesome) fact you'd like Büro members to know about you?
My first job in the music business was dancing in a Puff Daddy video in High School. I was paid to be in "It's All About The Benjamins", baby!
What do you like best about working at Büro?
My office is my happy place. It's across the street from my home and I use my office as my creative haven for thinking, calls, brainstorms, pitches, zooms and meetings. It's clean, safe, the staff is great and the community is all professional, working hard and respectful. I love the little community perks too. And the surprise and delight treats always pick up my day.
Tell us a "bucket list" item!
I'd love to go to Cape Canaveral to watch a Rocket Launch
What are 3 essentials you would need on a deserted island?
My computer, my cell phone and my fiancé. I don't need anything else to survive.
What's your comfort food?
Sushi & Smoothies (not together)
What movies do you watch or reference over and over?
I'm a big fan of some of the 90's classics but I'm really up on everything new and relevant. I'm a big content consumer and stay on the pulse of everything on The Streamers. It's my job but also my passion. Fun fact... I taught a class this semester at American University's Business School on The Streaming Revolution and once a month I flew to DC but the other 3 classes a month I did from my office, Wednesday nights at Büro!
