Q&A
How long have you been a Büro member?
Since 2013
Which Büro location do you work at?
Midtown
What does your company do?
We are a video production company specializing in wedding films, but work on a number of other projects that range from music videos to scripted film content
What do you like best about your job?
The work that I do doesn't really feel like work; that's the best thing about this job. I’ve never had my alarm clock go off and felt unmotivated to get up and get work done.
What is your business motto/philosophy?
“It's not just a life shared, it's love squared”
Miami native since:
1982
What are your favorite Miami hangouts and activities?
Cycling through the city is something that gives me a sense peace and tranquility that I wouldn't trade for anything in the world. My hangouts are all over Midtown and Wynwood; anywhere that I can find good people and good tunes.
What's one (surprising/interesting/funny/awesome) thing you’d like for Büro members to know about you?
I used to be in a dance crew in high school called the Kings of Chaos. We would get invited to the popular kids’ parties, and do a choreographed dance routine that mixed break dancing and pop & lock moves.
What do you like best about working at Büro?
The people I've met are the best thing about it; some of whom I hold very near and dear to my heart. Working at Büro, you really have an opportunity to form new friendships on a daily basis.
What was your very first job?
I bagged clothes for a dry cleaners
What personal achievements make you proud?
Running my first full marathon last January
How did you start doing something you love?
You make yourself a promise. A promise to take a chance no matter what the outcome may be. And with that chance, you’ll find satisfaction in knowing that you actually tried to take control of your destiny. My last job was working at Bally Total Fitness, a gym close to my house. I was also going to film school at the time. The work hours were flexible until my manager told me that he had to reschedule me for a time that conflicted with one of my classes. I quit that day, and told myself that I would never work for someone else again. I'm humbled and fortunate enough to say that it’s been six years since then, and I haven’t worked for anyone else.
